College is right around the corner for everyone. College planning starts from the beginning of freshman year all the way to the end of senior year. To many of us, preparing for college is a very stressful and even scary topic to think about, but early preparation can eliminate last minute decisions.

Before even starting high school, extra curricular activities and/or sports are important to immerse yourself in. While SAT and GPA are crucial factors in acceptance, colleges want to see you active in and around your community. Join some extra curricular activities, sports teams or a few clubs around campus. The club fair is coming up on August 25, 2015 which is a great opportunity to take part in clubs such as American Sign Language, Speech and Debate, and Yearbook.

Service hours are an important reminder, because not only will you need 100 hours to graduate from Bishop Gorman, but colleges love to see you helping out in your community. There are a variety of things to do, but make sure to start planning ahead!
