Campus Ministry Goes To Disneyland!

This year, many Bishop Gorman students will be attending the L.A. Youth Day, held on February 25 in Anaheim, California. This is a two day event where students will stay at a Disneyland hotel for the duration of the trip. The Campus Ministry Leadership Group and about forty Bishop Gorman students will be involved in the event. This is an opportunity for high school students to participate in the Liturgy, workshops, entertainment and experiences unique to the Religious Education Congress. 35mm Film: A Dying Art Form

A decreasing number of Hollywood productions are now shot on real physical film. With the recent jump in digital developments, many filmmakers and studios support the advantages of handling digital film. Even with the pros of digital, no filmmaker can deny that there is something inexplicably magical about film. Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, The Hateful Eight is an endeavor to bring classic film back to the big screen.

Germany 2006 FIFA Victory- Paid Off To Secure Win?

The German Football Association (DFB) is under investigation for allegedly paying to secure winning votes in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
On November 3, the German police department searched the homes of DFB president Wolfgang Niersbach, his predecessor Theo Zwanzgier, and a FIFA executive committee member. Hard drives and documents were also seized at the DFB headquarters in Frankfurt as part of the ongoing investigation.

Syrian Migrant Crisis Causes Possible German Civil War

Germany is facing a possible civil war. Thousands protest against Chancellor Angela Merkel’s decision to help the refugees for humanitarian reasons. Germany also faces a possibility of becoming a banana republic (a small nation dependent on the influx of foreign capital) without a government.

Hansjoerg Mueller of the Alternative for the German Party, says the country is at the edge of anarchy.

Police Officer Helps Injured Runner Finish Marathon

Marathon runner Robert McCoy competed in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon held in Savannah, Georgia on November 5. Just two-hundred yards from the finish line, he fell, and hit his head sustaining scrapes on his face, knees and back. A police officer monitoring the race ran out to help McCoy cross the finish line.
